This celebration of Cornwall’s delicious oysters takes place on the banks of the River Camel and combines great food with music, family entertainment and wellbeing activities.
Hosted by Michelin-starred chef Paul Ainsworth, there will be chef demos and plenty of freshly-cooked food to try. Sea shanty singers and choirs provide the day time entertainment alongside child-friendly amusements, before DJs unleash the after-dark festival feel.
Keep an eye on the website for updates as more details are confirmed.
Tall Ships, Falmouth, 17th – 19th August
The bustling town of Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall has been chosen as the starting point of the Magellan-Elcano 500 Series 2021 Tall Ships Race, which sees a breath-taking fleet of tall ships from around the world descend on Cornish shores for an incredible festival of sail.
The ships will arrive over a few days leading up to the 19th and be moored in the Carrick roads, before the official start of the race to Cadiz in Spain. Although Falmouth is a 1hr 30min drive from Tintagel, this memorable event will be well-worth the day trip!
Tour of Britain, Penzance to Bodmin, 5th September
‘The Grand Depart’ of the Tour of Britain, which comes to Cornwall for the first time in 2021, takes place in Penzance on 5th September. The elite riders will travel 170km in one day through the Cornish countryside, finishing at Bodmin.
